My Story

It all started with an easy bake oven when I was 4 years old…I loved to make those little cakes. As fast as I would make them my 2 cousins would gobble them up. Growing up my mom became a bakery manager and I always seemed to be around sweets. As I got older I was always making cakes for friends. After my son was born I wanted to buy him a really special cake for his birthday, like the ones I kept seeing on those TV shows I was hooked on. After a few years my supportive husband suggested I try to make one of my own or even take a few classes. After a few classes I taught myself the rest.

 

I still enjoy learning new techniques. Opening a business was never in my plan….I made a graduation cake for my son’s Kindergarten class and the other mom’s were surprised when they learned I had not bought it but I had made it myself. They said I should go into business because my cakes were not only great looking but they tasted “wonderful”! And soon after that a business was made…along with a name that my Grandfather gave me…Jilliebean the Cake Queen!!
